Figs & Ginger

Every once and a while I find myself remembering this jewelry. I've had my eye on one of these necklaces forever. I love how simplistic it is. It doesn't have too much detail but yet it still makes a statement. They try to be environmentally friendly as well, which I can appreciate. One of these days I'll actually make the plunge on getting one instead of ogling it on the internet.

Love it!

About Megan

photo by the awesome Duston Todd

Hello! My name is Megan Whittaker. I have many things I love to do, which is why this blog was started. Food, fashion, fitness and nutrition, ballet, music, photography, design, and anything absurd and funny basically sums up my life. I took the food hobby a step further and went to the Culinary Institute of America in 2009, and now I spend my days dreaming up new and exciting flavors to try. I started *Noisette! because I wanted to do my own thing and make it my own. I currently make French macaroons ("macarons" for you frenchies), marshmallows, chocolates, small treats, and fancy cakes!

I have a wonderful and supportive husband Matt, who may make appearances on this blog every once and awhile. He's the coolest person I've ever met. We live in a quaint home that was mostly designed by a very particular husband, and our house lion named Gob (see here for that reference). Welcome!

This is Gob.

oui oui

Matt and I splurged. We realllly like to travel out of the country if we can, and usually we try to make it a goal to go somewhere once a year. Matt had been talking about Peru for weeks. He was planning out where we would fly into, how long we would stay, how best to get to Cusco, etc etc. However, we kept looking for flights and trying to figure out when to go and have it make sense financially, but it wasn't quite working. So, we are going somewhere that I've wanted to go since 4th grade-PARIS. Seriously, Paris people. I can't even describe how exciting this is. We are going for 10 days in the beginning of May. Paris in Springtime my friends. It's going to be wonderful. I can't wait to eat, go to museums, see the catacombs, and we're going to try and make it down to the south of France, where it all happens in terms of food. Maybe while I'm there I'll run in to Rick Steves.
